Passport Prime shipping dates

I’m wondering if this thing is even going to work.

I have changed my mailing address so many times with all these false starts and culks. When I email, no one will respond to me to confirm my shipping address. I’m an expat. I need to know that when I fact this unit ships it will be going to the proper address. Please

We don’t have any emails not responded to, so my guess is your email client is filtering them. If you send me your email address I can double check.

Any update? I was told shipping would happen in March, April, May, June, July, August, October, November, December, January & Last week.

Could you perhaps give us a worst case date? We understand you’re managing the issue by always being confident shipping is imminent: like the plane is always 5 minutes away from takeoff.. :slight_smile:

But for me, as with many others, it’s been well over a year now and I’d prefer you were more frank rather than setting up periodic disappointments.

It’s eroding foundation’s reputation and diminishing the good will we all have.

Unfortunately there is no ‘worse date’. Every update we’ve provided is a best guess estimate based on the available information at the time.

We are building a brand new operating system and hardware platform from scratch. That means there’s lots of ‘moving parts’, which brings with it a ton of unforeseen problems. Oftentimes these issues seem trivial and easy to fix, but some can take days or even weeks to properly diagnose and rectify.

Really appreciate everyone’s patience, but as always if the wait or delays become too much, contact support and we can help with your order.

EDIT - We have been provisioning devices this week and are currently ironing out some issues with the recovery process. Once these are ironed out, shipping can begin. We were hoping to have this fixed last week, but its looking more like it will take another day or two.

I confess I am not happy how Foundation is handling the shipping of Prime. However, I recently purchased a Passport Core, and I believe it will be my go to wallet. Understand I own both Jades, both ColdCards and a Ledger. The reason I want the Prime is because it is simple and my wife will understand how use without a 2hr YouTube video. For the love of God please start prototyping your future builds. Cheers!

Hey hey is it likely we will start receiving our primes in the second quarter? All respect I understand this is a ground up design and OS. I think being surprised by it coming early would be a great feeling :smiling_face:

Absolutely. We’re working our way through final issues before we can begin shipping. Dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s, but we are close.

Hi, it’s already March now…Any encouraging update you can share with us? Would really appreciate a small status check-in on where things currently stand.

I fully expect them to say they will be ready this or next week only to flake again…

Next update will be to confirm that shipping has begun. Zach is headed to the factory tomorrow.

You guys need to stop yapping. Every reply in this thread & they add a day onto the shipping estimates. I don’t make the rules.

yet again the people giving them a free pass are the enablers and a huge part of the problem. At somepoint it switches from a “mistake” and moves to gaslighting, lying, and complete lack of transparency. I value honesty over breadcrumbing and all this toxic behavior. If you know it wont be ready for another 6 months then i would have rather you said that. Instead we get, it will be ready in a few months….in another mon….in a few days…..next week…next week….next week….. But now I no longer can trust this company as a customer and thats really unfortunate.

At least there’s one person in this group that sees past the excuses and false promises. At some point you guys need to step up and take full accountability for how this has been handled.

I just placed my order last week. Seeing that some of you guys been waiting over a year had me double thinking it. But the tech looks good and convenient, a fingerprint scanner would have perfected it. Im excited to get mine either way.

We truly appreciate that the repeated small delays that compound into multi-month extensions are frustrating. We’ve been transparent throughout about our expectations and estimations based on the available information at any given time. We are building something entirely new that has never existed before, and it has presented us with many unexpected technical challenges along the way.

Once again, we are close to being able to announce that shipping has begun, but if at any point this is unsatisfactory for anyone, we’ve always maintained a no questions asked full refund policy.
