Setup core gives a tampered security risk notification

I bought last year a Passport Core. Had it in my deskdrawer untouched. Finally was able to start using it this weekend and it failed and keeps failing the setup first tampering test. So not sure how to proceed.Would like to get support.

Hi @Pieter I responded to your email about this last week, then followed up 2 days later without response. Could you check your spam/junk email folder?

Hi Ben, doubled checked what happend sorry got it wrong before. I found your message in my spam on friday, the day that you send it. I replied friday and as well saturday with the info u asked for. I dont think you got those two emails because then i got a mail from you saying u didnt hear anything back. I repsonded to that email as well that i still needed support

btw the info u asked for is:
I chose the envoy setup.
The version on the passport is 2.3.6

Sorry Pieter, I can confirm we didn’t get your responses. I’ll look into that.

Can you go back to the start of the onboarding on both devices, and when the QR code scanner opens on Envoy, tap the small arrow at the bottom of the screen then tap this text. It will launch the older style onboarding that gives a slightly different QR code format that should unblock you and allow the device to pass the security check.

i Still get the same otification.

Hey @pieter, just double checking - you are not scanning the QR code that shows when you go to connect wllet → Envoy, correct?

The screenshot you sent usually shows when Envoy expects a supply chain verification code, and you display some other QR code, like a “Pair to Envoy” QR code That pop up also says nothing about tampering, did you get this message elsewhere?

Is it possible that you had initialized your passport core a year ago and you are currently snot doing an initial onboarding but rather a new setup? When you turn on Passport Core, what is the first screen you see?

Sorry if this sounds very basic, want to cover the bases first. Thanks!

I am unfortunately traveling again. Back with my pasport in about a week and a half. Sorry for the delay but will get back to you then.
