SeedQR Tool App for Passport Prime is now available!

I’ve released SeedQR Tool, a third-party Passport Prime app for copying a SeedQR onto metal by hand and checking the result.

Scan an existing SeedQR or enter 12 or 24 seed words, choose Standard or Compact format, and follow the labelled 7×7 blocks. Once you’ve made your copy, scan it with Passport to check that it decodes to the same seed.

The app cannot access your Passport master seed or Seed Vault. You choose what to load. A SeedQR contains your recovery phrase, so keep real copies private. This is a QnA-signed app, not a Foundation-signed app, and it has not had an independent security audit.

It requires KeyOS 1.4 or newer. The v0.1.1 release includes the signed app, publisher certificate, checksums, and public test files. Try those test files first, and never use their public seed words to hold funds.

I’d welcome feedback, especially from anyone who tries the block-by-block flow with a physical backup.
