Seed phrase on device

In the FAQ you say :

Absolutely. Your BIP39 seed words will be accessible from the device settings.

Does this mean the seed phrase is saved on the device ? If so, that seems to be a deal breaker.

Yes it will be, just like any other standard hardware wallet. It will of course be protected by your PIN, the secure element and an OTP stored in the MCU.

Why is it a deal breaker?

I don’t understand your reply. No other hardware wallet that I know of, stores the 24 words on the device and makes them accessible afterwards. Could you elaborate ?

Here’s a couple.

Others allow you to enter them to test and will confirm if correct or not, but all store the master private key on device, that’s how they sign transactions.

If someone can log in to ‘test’ your seed, they can simply send a transaction from the device rather than try and brute force to guess your 24 words. Its no more secure.

Hi, i was just wondering the same question about the seed phrase. I have a Passport and a Ledger. Both of which I have seed phrases stored on seperate Bill Fodl type storage.

I was wondering if i would want to get another Bill Fodl as i will not be importing my seed phrase from my Passport. The Prime will be an entirely new wallet and such. Thank you and super looking forward to receiving the unit!!
