I’d like to report a weak point on the Foundation Passport Prime.
I accidentally dropped my Passport Prime from a height of about 15 cm, onto a floating laminate floor (so a relatively soft surface, not tile or concrete). It landed on the top right corner, and the screen partially came unstuck from the case. I can now slide my fingernail under the edge of the screen and lift it slightly, which suggests the adhesive mounting didn’t hold up to the impact.
The drop height was really very low, which is concerning for a device at this quality level.
Is there a warranty that covers this kind of accident? (purchased in April 2026, from a French retailer)
Otherwise, what type of glue would be suitable to reattach the screen myself?
Sorry to hear about this accident. Our warranty unfortunately does not cover accidental damage, but there should be no issue in resealing the unit with the appropriate adhesive. I’m going to check on the appropriate type and get back to you here.

Do not to use any sort of super glue or anything like that. It has very low viscosity can wick into the display and connectors; vapor blooming can fog glass; the cured bond is brittle and creates a peel-stress concentration.
Thank you for the DOWSIL SE 9100 reference. Unfortunately I can’t find it from any EU-based seller, it’s mostly sold through B2B distribution with industrial 300 mL cartridges minimum, on quote.
On my end I found a product on Amazon, aimed more at smartphone repair: a black silicone glue, ST-9000 type, full cure time of 24h, high viscosity, temperature range -30°C to 80°C.
Would this type of glue work as a replacement for the DOWSIL for the Passport Prime?
I’d also need some clarification on the repair procedure:
Do I need to fully open the screen, completely remove the old adhesive, and redo the sealing around the entire perimeter of the device, or just locally reglue the detached area? To clean off the old adhesive before reapplying, is isopropyl alcohol suitable, or would you recommend another product? I’d like to avoid any impact on the integrity of the device.
