I was demonstrating Envoy to a friend and send him some sats. I then asked him to send them back to me immediately before they were confirmed. The fee was set at 1 sat/vB but Envoy showed a warning.
I don’t remember the exact warning but it was something about the fee being a disproportionate percentage of the transaction. But when he send the tx I checked on mempool.space and the fee was normal at 1 sat/vB.
I encountered this bug myself a couple months ago when I was signing a tx with Passport and it was reported to be fixed, but I have now encountered it again but with the Envoy mobile (hot) wallet.
Sounds like Envoy is operating normally. If you were demo’ing it, I presume you were sending tiny amounts back and forth? If so, then even a small fee at 1 sat/byte would still be a larger than average % of the total amount being sent.
I sent 21.000 sats so a 1 sat/vB fee should not throw such a warning.
I think it might have to do with the funds having 0 confs when he tried sending it back?
