Prime + coldcard q

would this be a good pair and also maybe even share some BTC across wallets? I have a ledger stax currently that has a nominal amount of BTC on it because I use it to move off exchanges when I limit buy or when I mine to it and get paid weekly…then I move a big majority of the amount to a Coldcard Q for long term storage.

My thinking was getting the prime to have all the additional accounts like 2FA, and would this include all other type of account information such as username and passwords (or maybe this is an app request feature) that could be protected instead of having them printed out

Then I have 3 really good backup options offline for storage. Ledger Stax to mine to or send some occasional btc here and there after purchasing on an exchange or to move elsewhere or for building up UXTO’s then moving to cold card Q for very long term storage and then having the prime as additional storage option with the option of having some applications that also help in keeping things secure like 2fa , applications that could support username passwords, and other secret information. Just ttrying to find out how that information woud get backed up…SD cards, encrypted files to a cloud possibly?

How and what you choose to pair Prime with as part of your security protocol is up to you and your preferences, though the Q might seems fairly archaic when you get used the to Passport Prime UX :upside_down_face:

Your info can be backed up to all of those possible options. Core app data will be automatically saved in an encrypted format on the Foundation servers, but you can also keep your own offline copies onto SD cards or USB drives which you can then also choose to store on personal clouds too if you’d like.

Hope that helps?

This is great too! I also noticed in the other section about possibly integrating with bitwarden somehow to keep track of all username passwords or maybe it’s doing it natively via NFC like I saw in the video? and I saw the keynote on storing seed phrases, etc which is great.

To be clear we won’t have a password manager in Prime at launch, but something like a Bitwarden app would be a welcome addition for many users, myself included!

All good! I like the idea of it too…just put my reservation in yesterday. Looking forward to it!
