Missing features?

Hi,

I just now received my pre ordered passport prime. Great looking device. I do seem to be overlooking or missing some features I did expect to see though.

  1. I was expecting a vault where pre-existing seeds could be stored but as far as I can see I can only generate new seeds and store them in the vault. Will an option be added to store other seeds?
  2. On my passport core I can import temporary seeds. I was expecting this to be possible with the prime as well but I don’t see this option.

Hi there @Hodler! You are not wrong, both of those features had to be cut short for launch. However, they are both in our release pipeline.

  1. Importing pre-existing seeds, as well as generating BIP85 passwords are both in the roadmap
  2. Getting Passport Core feature parity is one of the top priorities for the Wallet app - and yes, this temporary seed feature is one of the missing ones as of right now. The design is ready, and once implemented you should be able to access it from the three dot menu in the Wallet app as seen below, but we have still not implemented it.

Apologies for the inconvenience! But fear not, both features are in our to-do list

Will we be able to create multisig pairs and sign them if they are coming from created seeds on the device and set that as the multisig policy?? So the flow is you have 3 seeds saved on device you create a 2 of 3 multisig of those seeds and set that as the multisig signing policy?

Will this be possible in the future?

This is not planned or advisable as you’re completely voiding one of the main multisig benefits by having all the seeds accessible in one location and on one device.

In theory its possible right now with the Vault app and using PSBTs with something like Sparow or Blue, but again, I would strongly advise against it.

good point, I explained that terribly, more-so ment using one of the keys from my vault along with other public keys to build the miltisig policy?

The multisig policy is built in the companion software like Sparrow. The only missing piece right now is the ability to ‘load’ a Vault seed into the Prime Wallet app to export the multisig configuration. This is coming in the KeyOS v1.3
