Trying to update to V2.3.5 mine gets stuck at 98%. I have received the email telling me to install the developer pubkey.
What I would like to know is: Is this risky? Am I compromising my wallet by installing the developer pubkey?

Completely understand your apprehension here. In short, no it doesn’t. In actual fact, you don’t even need to use our official beta key, feel free to install your own at that step if you have one available.
The fix is simply that a key must be present at time of upgrading from a build with the freezing issue.

Yeah it’s not risky at all to add a developer pubkey. But in addition to what @qna said, know that you can remove the developer pubkey from passport after upgrading to 2.3.5 if having it installed makes you uneasy

Hi qna, I have the same problem as Peter and can’t get the firmware V2.3.5 installed. Where can I get my PubKey or the developer PubKey? It would be nice to hear from you. Thanks a lot
