Hello,

Looking at the information on the Prime, I noticed that if you preorder now it includes a lifetime envoy+ subscription along with a few other things. Is there anymore information that can be shared what envoy+ is going to be? Is envoy+ going to put certain features that we can use now in envoy behind a subscription model?

Hi @IR800, good question indeed!

Envoy+ will be limited to offering the following services at launch:

  • Saving one of the shards of your prime seed in your Keychain/android autobackup
  • Saving all the encrypted metadata of your Prime in our foundation servers

Magic backups has always been an opt-in service and it will continue being that way, and therefore, so will Envoy+. Besides, answering your question directly, no, we do not plan on removing any service that is currently available and free and putting it behind Envoy+. Any new features added to Envoy+ will be brand new, and will never be drawn from existing capabilities.
