I’m running Envoy v2.02 and was working through the setup of a new Passport Core device and ran into a frustrating issue with the Envoy app. I was part way through the process and had already verified that my Passport was secure by scanning the QR codes and had already completed my PIN setup, but while writing down my PIN (or maybe it was after I set up my seed and was writing that down) my phone went to sleep and I had to wake it up from the lock screen. When I did that the Envoy app had reset back to the beginning of the set up process and wanted me to start over and scan the QR code on the Passport. But since I was well past that step there was no way to go back to re-display the QR code on the Passport device.
I noticed there was an option in Envoy for setting up a Passport running much older firmware that didn’t require me to scan the QR on the Passport, so I used that alternate setup route to complete my setup. But that is not user friendly - to have gotten part way through the process and then get kicked back to the start in Envoy with no obvious way to keep going. The Envoy app needs to be fixed so it doesn’t reset to the start if your phone goes to sleep or you need to pause during the setup process for whatever reason.
