I would like to end up with a new instance of Envoy with NEW seed phrase (Samsung S26). I unpaired Prime from within Envoy and disconnected Prime from Envoy from within Prime. I uninstalled Envoy then reinstalled. Unfortunately, it seems as though when the new installation is installed it pulls the backup from Google and reinstates my old seed phrase.
Before proceeding I wanted to confirm the workflow, before uninstalling Envoy, I should disable Magic Backups, which will delete all cloud backups. (I have no reason to need this instance of Envoy, but do have the Seed Phrase should I ever need it) Then I should wait 24 hours before the backups are deleted from the Foundation servers, then reinstall Envoy which should automatically have Magic backups enabled, then I will be able to create a new mobile wallet with a new seed phrase, then reconnect Prime to Envoy. And finally do a complete backup overwriting the NFC cards.
Yes, at the EOD I wanted to take advantage of the Magic Backups so for now I dropped the idea of using the Graphene OS. I have an Android device for a few apps that require GPS, including Envoy and use my graphene os device for all communications and day to day needs. When I created my profile on the Samsung 26 and installed Envoy, it automatically reinstalled my original Envoy seed that was associated with my Passport, which was compromised, and which for now I am not using. I want to have a new and different seed for the Envoy mobile wallet on the Samsung 26. If this older Envoy seed was in fact compromised, even though I am absolutely certain my Prime seed is secure I am not so sure on the original Envoy seed. Even though any Bitcoin might be secure a compromised envoy seed would be able to see transaction activity, although I suppose anything behind a passphrase would be secure, I am still uncomfortable with even the remote possibility of a compromised Envoy wallet seed.
In that case yes, you can make it even simpler. Make sure you have a backup of the seed words just in case, then long tap on the app icon and choose clear storage and app data (Samsung might use slightly different words).
Then when you reopen it should be as if you’d just installed the app. You can then create the new mobile wallet and backup of it to your google account.
