This is an interesting one - another question on top of @qna’s: when you say the device says Duplicate index with label: “” is that literally what the error says? Or did you remove the name of the label for privacy and are just paraphrasing what the error looked like? If you wouldn’t mind sharing your logs with hello@foundation.xyz they would be very helpful in this particular case, just reference this thread in the email so we can look into what happenned there exactly. If you don’t feel comfortable doing so that’s ok too, we’ll try to debug via more generic means. Thank you! =)
You can grab them in
Bottom left menu in main page → Settings → Advanced → View Logs → Save Log file
This should bring up the file picker → you can either save it directly in the Airlock, then plug Passport Prime to a computer and grab the files, or you can plug in a flash driev to passport prime and select the External tab to save it directly to the flash drive.
Then please send them over to hello@foundation.xyz and make a reference to this thread - we should be able to see what happened and reply to you with more detail! Thank you! Created internal ticket SFT-6824 to address this issue
Looks like you guys are already on it, but fwiw I have the same issue as Colonizer where I can’t create additional security keys and get the “Duplicate index with label…” message.
Will probably try erasing the Prime creating a new master secret like he did.
That makes me think though, for those who are in the Prime Early Access program and thus qualify for lifetime Envoy+ what is the identifier that links a particular Passport Prime to the lifetime benefit? Will resetting your Passport Prime’s master secret potentially jeopardize your lifetime benefit now or in the future?
Hey @happy welcome to the forum! That’s a great question - we still haven’t fully defined how this will look like, but it will most likely look something like a software license key, not tied to any specific device or seed. This way you can reset your prime as often as you need to, and you can even lose and replace it and not lose your lifetime membership
I also have this problem. I am using edge and linux and I can’t seem to get the one key I have created to work. I will report back properly after 1.2.1.
Hey everyone - came here to say that KeyOS 1.2.1 is out, with Envoy open and active, and with bluetooth on (AKA, QuantumLink connected), you should be able to go to Settings → Update → Check for New Version and find and install 1.2.1. This version addresses this Key app issue that so many of you hit (apologies about that). You should now be able to create more keys without any issues. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! Any further issues, let us know!
